Superstar Mahira Khan spilled the beans about her relationship with rumoured beau Salim Karim during an Instagram live with designer HSY. The actor considers him a blessing in her life.
“You are in love now, his name is Salim. When you look deep into his eyes, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?” asked HSY during the live.
A little hesitant to respond, Khan chose a dialogue from her famous drama serial to explain her love life. “There’s a line in Humsafar, which I thought was beautiful, where Ashar says to Khirad, ‘Pata nahi tum mujhe kis naiki kay badlay main miley ho [I don’t know what I did right to deserve you.] I think the same about him.”
She went on to say, “I don’t know what have I done in my life, [but I] must have done something good because of which Allah blessed me with…” HSY added, “…Because of which Allah blessed you with Salim.”
Khan then giggled and added, “I feel like this for my child too. My child is someone I feel super grateful for. He is the centre of my world, everything revolves around him, but I feel the same way about him, the people I love; that there is something that I must have done [to deserve them].”
The Raees actress explained, “I was such a heart breaker but I realized Allah will not be too happy with my prude behaviour. I hope that we can protect this because I feel like any relationship is a long… you have to work at it and strive to make it better.”
HSY joked about how Khan has crushed the hearts of many of her admirers. “I am sure you heard the sound of a million hearts breaking when you said that line about you and your man.”
Earlier, in an online interview with Samina Peerzada, Khan revealed that she is in love and her special someone is not from the entertainment industry.
Khan, who made her Bollywood debut with Raees opposite Shah Rukh Khan, was previously married to Ali Askari. They tied the knot in 2007 and got divorced in 2015. Mahira’s son Azlaan was born in 2014.
