Two more Sindh MPAs test positive for coronavirus

Two more PPP MPAs have tested positive for the coronavirus, bringing the tally of infected MPAs to eight.

Three of these eight MPAs have recovered.

All MPAs have been directed to get tested before the June 2 assembly session.

The MPAs who recently tested positive for the virus are Sadia Javed and Sajid Jokhio of the PPP. Six members of the assembly from the PPP have contracted the virus, along with one each from the MQM and MMA.

The three MPAs who beat it are Saeed Ghani, Mangla Sharmat and Abdul Rasheed.

The PPP’s Murtaza Baloch is still in the ICU due to COVID-19 related complications.

Sindh government spokesperson Murtaza Wahab denied that the government is forcibly hospitalising everyone who tests positive for the virus. Our first preference is for you to isolate at home, he said, urging people to get tested if they show symptoms.
