586 FIRs registered in Okara for violating Section 144

The Okara police have registered 586 cases against people for violating Section 144 imposed in Punjab.

The police also impounded more than 1,800 cars and bikes.

Section 144 restricts a group of more than four people from standing together.

It was imposed by the Punjab government on March 15 as part of its precautionary measure to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
