Chaos spread at the Hussainabad Family Park in Karachi’s Gulberg on Friday afternoon after a security guard began firing in the air. People were seen running away from the guard.
A few men then calmed Kamran down and took his weapon away before the police took him into custody.
Kamran says he used the gun to scare away men who had beaten him up after he told them to stop teasing women in the park.
The police told SAMAA TV that a few residents also backed Kamran’s claim.
