Watch: Karachi men kidnap pet dog from Gulistan-e-Jauhar
Dognapper alert! The crime rate in Karachi has increased and it’s not just your money or jewelry that’s at risk.
Four men kidnapped a pet dog from Gulistan-e-Jauhar’s Block 7 on Friday. According to the CCTV footage, they were on a motorcycle. One of the men went inside a building, grabbed the animal, and fled from the site.
The owners have filed a case with the police and announced Rs30,000 reward money for anyone who finds the dog. CCTV footage of the theft has been uncovered.

Khanewal man arrested for filming TikTok video inside court
A man was arrested for filming a TikTok video inside the district court in Khanewal’s Mian Channu.
According to the police, the suspect was there to attend the hearing of his friend, who had been named in a murder case. “The men were harassing people and misbehaving with them while recording the video,” the security in-charge said.
The suspect, identified as Rehman Ali, was presented before the co-admin judge and then sent to jail.
An FIR has been registered. The investigating officer said that filming a video inside court without permission is not allowed in any circumstances.
TikTok ban in Pakistan
Pakistan blocked the video-sharing app on October 9 for its “obscene and immoral” content. The ban was reversed after 10 days.
The PTA spokesperson said the TikTok management has assured the authority that it will block all accounts repeatedly involved in spreading obscenity and immorality and moderate content in accordance with local laws. The authority has not announced whether the app will be unblocked immediately.
The authority had said at the time of the ban that the decision was made after it received complaints ‘against immoral/indecent content’ on the app. “In view of the presence of vulgar, indecent/immoral content on the platform and its negative effects on the society, the PTA has been continuously asserting TikTok to prevent its platform from disseminating the unlawful content,” it said, adding that the app didn’t take concrete steps for blocking and removal of unlawful content.

Marilyn Manson hit with new rape, abuse allegations
US goth rocker Marilyn Manson was Friday hit with new allegations that he raped an ex-girlfriend and forced her to watch a video of him abusing a young fan.
The latest lawsuit against Manson — real name Brian Warner — on behalf of an anonymous woman comes after “Game of Thrones” actress Esme Bianco last month accused him of rape, sexual abuse and violence.
The new lawsuit alleges that Manson “raped and repeatedly sexually abused” Jane Doe.
Manson allegedly showed the plaintiff a video in which he could be seen tying a young fan to a chair, where he “humiliated and berated her,” removed her T-shirt, forced her to drink a glass of urine, and threatened her with a gun.
A member of Manson’s team strongly denied the accusations Friday.
A source close to Manson said the video was a “scripted short film” featuring an adult actor that was never released.
Manson’s lawyer Howard King described the previous claims by Bianco as “provably false” and accused Bianco and her attorney of making “outrageous financial demands based on conduct that simply never occurred.”
Los Angeles police in February confirmed they were investigating domestic violence allegations against the singer between 2009 and 2011.
“Westworld” star Evan Rachel Wood has also accused Manson of years of abuse starting when she was a teenager — allegations Manson called “horrible distortions of reality” in an Instagram post.
Manson, who has long cultivated a controversial image with his ghostly make-up and stage name evoking serial killer Charles Manson, has parted ways with his record label Loma Vista Recordings and Hollywood agency CAA since the allegations became public.

Nick thanks ‘incredible wife’ Priyanka Chopra for support during recovery
American singer Nick Jonas wrote a thank you note for his wife for her support during his recovery from a motorcycle accident.
Nick, who was part of the three-member band Jonas Brothers, suffered a cracked rib and bruises in a motorcycle accident last week.
He hosted the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.
“I started this last week by taking a brutal tumble on a bike fracturing my rib and ended it hosting the @bbmas with my incredible wife by my side who helped me every step of the way to recover and feel my best,” he wrote on Instagram. “I love you @priyankachopra.”
Priyanka, in a post, went on to appreciate her husband work. She said he is an inspiration because of his work ethics.
The actor got married to the musician in December 2018 at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in the Indian city Jodhpur. Two wedding ceremonies were held to honour each other’s religious traditions.

Nine killed after Muzaffarbad van falls into ditch
Three children and six people were killed after a passenger van fell into a ditch near Muzaffarabad’s Zaminabad early Saturday morning.
According to Rescue 1122, 16 people were injured of which four are in critical condition. The bodies and injured people have been rushed to the hospital.
The van was travelling from Rawalpindi to Chakothi.

Indian priests pray for mercy from coronavirus ‘Goddess’
Hindu priests at an Indian temple are saying daily prayers to two coronavirus goddesses in an effort to tame the pandemic as the country battles a new infection surge.
Two “Corona Devi” idols have been set up in the southern city of Coimbatore, badly hit in an outbreak that has killed 100,000 people nationwide in the past four weeks.
The Kamatchipuri Adhinam temple is closed to worshippers because of the city’s high infection rates but priests are paying tribute in front of the goddesses, one made of sandalwood and the other from stone.
They leave food and other offerings, chant prayers urging an end to the pandemic, and bathe the idols in turmeric water and milk.
“We have had similar temples for smallpox, chickenpox, and plague in the past,” said temple manager Anandbharathi K.
“We are worshipping the virus in the form of a Goddess and praying to her every day to reduce the impacts of this disease,” he added.
While case numbers are easing in much of India, the country of 1.3 billion people has been shocked by the severity of the latest wave of the pandemic, which overwhelmed hospitals and led to critical shortages of oxygen and medicines.
“Even doctors are unable to deal with the enormity of the situation. So, we turn to faith and God as a last resort,” Anandbharathi said.
The priests plan to continue their prayers to the “Corona Devi” idols for another seven weeks.
